World Series Blankie

A quick, mostly picture post before I have to get the kiddies out of bed and off to school...

Here's what I've been working on, just in time for the cold weather, a comfort knit!

This blanket is made of various yarns which I have been collecting and hoarding for 15 years! I started & knit on it during the World Series. So far it's about half done...

The yarns vary from sport weight to worsted. There are three main textures: a squishy woolly single ply, a thick and thin multi-fiber, and a boucle.

This has been a really fun knit so far and I'm SO glad to finally be using this yarn that has been sitting in the stash for too long!

Very nice! Too bad the series didn't go for 7 games.

It looks good! Saving that yarn for all that time was well worth it, eh?

Way to go! Wow isn't it wonderful to work and almost complete something that has been going for a bit? It looks like it's nice, soft, and warm! Great mix of colors! Happy 2008!
